TESTIMONIALS

See what my clients have been saying! 🤠

I’ve been working with Greg over the past 9 months. He’s been an incredible coach to work with! I’ve lost nearly 20 lbs, gained a lot of strength, set great habits and have grown in my faith. There is nothing better than having someone to talk to weekly about your goals, hold you accountable, while declaring the victories and progress you’ve made over time. Highly recommended!

Jonathan, Texas

Greg is awesome! He coaches in a way that holds you accountable and helps you realize what you can do! He motivates and supports you! I’m better for working with Greg.

Maria, Georgia

Working with Coach Greg helped me build sustainable habits like walking daily and strength training weekly. I lost around 20 pounds and went from almost no physical activity outside of work to exercising every day – even running a 5K! Parishioners and friends have noticed the changes, and I feel more energetic, healthy, and confident. Even after a somewhat rocky Advent and Christmas season, I got back on track with walking over 10,000 steps daily, strength training, tracking my calories, and continuing to lose weight. I’m confident I have the tools I need to keep going and meet my goals. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone just starting out or needing help and accountability to build a healthier lifestyle. Thank you, Coach Greg!

I always wanted to be more consistent with exercise and eating well, but struggled to find daily motivation. Working with Greg gave me the guidance and encouragement I needed to overcome that resistance. Having someone walk alongside me in this journey was critical to my success. My family has noticed a positive change in both my mental and physical health – I’m more willing to go on hikes, walks, and play tennis with them. Greg doesn’t just coach on fitness and nutrition; he also weaves in the importance of a healthy spiritual life. It was a pleasure working with him!

Jason, Colorado

I am SO glad I am doing coaching with Greg!! I honestly cannot imagine a coach more perfect for me given my personality & needs. Under his extremely supportive & knowledgeable guidance, I have learned so very much about goal-making (and keeping track of such) and how many ways God fits into all of it. That’s a very mild statement given how much I’ve received from this program, but I really could go on ad finitum.

Milia, Ohio

Having Greg as my coach was amazing and extremely helpful for both my mental and physical health. Having an accountability partner made a huge difference. Over the past six months, my physical improvement was drastic, and I received plenty of compliments from coworkers on my newly acquired physique. Intertwining the physical and spiritual aspects of fitness changed my outlook on fitness forever.

Oscar, Maryland

I have greatly benefited from working with Greg. He has helped me set reasonable goals as I got back to an active lifestyle after some health setbacks. With his support and encouragement, I’ve made enough gains to feel ready to take on the challenge of training for the Camino in the next year. What a gift!
Chelsi, Missouri

I’ve learned that I’m much more successful in achieving my health goals when I have a coach to guide and inspire me – and that I can lean on my faith to support me through the journey. I’m proud to have lost nearly 20 pounds, but even more proud of the spiritual progress I’ve made. I feel more courageous in my faith and have a deeper heart connection with the Lord. My husband has noticed the changes in my food and exercise habits, and friends and coworkers have commented on my weight loss. Greg was patient and encouraging, especially when my progress felt painfully slow. With my personality, it’s easy to give in to frustration, but he helped me stay focused, practical, and positive. I couldn’t have done it without him – thank you, Greg!

Maryanne, Oregon

Greg is amazing! I just turned 50 and hadn’t had a consistent fitness routine since high school. Greg helped me build sustainable habits around exercise and nutrition, which allowed me to lose 20 pounds over the past six months. One of the things I love most is that each workout is named after a saint, giving me the opportunity to pray for that saint’s intercession while I train. It’s been a transformative experience – physically and spiritually!

CLIENT VICTORIES

At the start of each call with my clients I ask them to share any “victories” they’ve recently experienced. Below is a fun (and inspiring!) compilation of some of them. 😃

🏆 I’ve had more energy lately than I’ve had in what feels like a MILLION years!
🏆 I got bloodwork done at my recent checkup and learned that for the first time since 2015 my cholesterol is in the normal range!
🏆 My wife stopped me the other day and said, “You look good! I can tell the difference!”
🏆 It’s been a LONG time since I’ve been this consistent and disciplined. I feel like I’m in high school again. It’s been so fun!
🏆 I’m down 60 pounds since we started in April!
🏆 I’ve had a burning desire to go out and run again (like my old high school cross country days!).
🏆 I’ve been overall a lot happier this month (I’ve been doing a much better job of loving and taking care of myself).
🏆 I’ve experienced tons of progress with my squats and deadlifts. The weights have skyrocketed!
🏆 My son has been joining me for “exercise time” in the mornings. (#DadWin!)
🏆 I recently went into a store and thought, “I don’t think I could fit into that shirt” but then tried it on and it fit great! It felt so awesome to experience that.
🏆 A lady at church saw me after Mass this weekend and said, “What’s going on with you? You look better every week!” (I told her I was on a health journey of sorts…)
🏆 I have a completely new mentality than I did years ago… No longer am I extreme dieting and extreme working out. I’m playing the long game, enjoying working out, enjoying treats and beer occasionally (and not punishing myself for it)… I don’t feel like there’s even a wagon to fall off of anymore. This is my life. The new me. I can enjoy things and still reach my goals!
🏆 I’m going to need a new belt soon because I’m currently down to the last hole on it (and this is after I used to be on the last hole on the other side of the belt!).
🏆 It’s amazing that I needed you (no offense!) to get me to start walking… Now I love it! I head out before the sun is even up and have time to walk and think and pray. It’s just fantastic!
🏆 I was able to pass on dessert a few times at various social events.
🏆 I have a “new” pair of pants! (the pair of pants that I shelved forever ago now fit me again!)
🏆 December has always been so difficult (with all the parties and treats available). However, this year I’m doing better than I ever have for the month!
🏆 I feel like an athlete again!
🏆 I used to DREAD pushups… Now I do them every day and am on track to complete 10,000 in a year!!!
🏆 After a 9-year hiatus, we got our family back to doing evening prayer together.
🏆 I had to get a dress completely altered and might have to start buying a new wardrobe!
🏆 I’ve noticed that a number of aches, pains, and somewhat chronic issues have been much better as a result of my weight loss. My reflux issues have greatly improved (not 100% gone yet, but definitely improved!) and my joint aches and pains are a ton better (even after walking 17,000 steps yesterday I didn’t have any joint aches or pains!).
🏆 My prayer life has been really good lately (at a better spot than in YEARS). I’ve been turning to prayer a lot more, have kept it more conversational/personal, and I have experienced more peace and consolation.
🏆 My doctor was really happy about my cholesterol results!
🏆 I’m down below the 180 lbs. line (even after enjoying Thanksgiving and pizza!). It feels so good to lose weight and still enjoy myself!
🏆 I’ve been doing little things to increase my step count each day (parking farther away, walking my dog more, walking over my lunch break, etc.).
🏆 I’ve lost 20 pounds so far!
🏆 I went for a run, got crushed by it, and felt amazing the entire rest of the day!
🏆 My waist measurement is down 2 inches since December!
🏆 My dad told me he was really proud of me for all the work I’ve been putting into health and fitness.
🏆 I’m continuing to walk every day (no matter what) and have been really LOVING my walks (especially at night when I can see the stars and do the Liturgy of the Hours with the Hallow app).
🏆 I did a workout with my kids and now they keep asking me to do more workouts with them!
🏆 I’ve come to a point with desserts that now when I’m tempted I say, “No, that’s not what I do.” (IDENTITY SHIFT!)
🏆 I’ve gained knowledge on how to approach situations in which unhealthy food is being served and/or when others aren’t on board with my decision to be healthy.
🏆 I’m been getting prayer time in each morning and have doing a couple’s prayer book with my fiancé.
🏆 I’ve been offering up each mile of my runs for different intentions.
🏆 I was on call all last week but I still got to the gym 3x! It felt really good to not have a week off from each exercise. I could tell it really helped.
🏆 My 20-year old son and I have been doing the daily readings and morning and evening prayer with the Magnificat each day.
🏆 I’ve worried for a long time about the ill effects of my sedentary job, so seeing my weight go down and my watch alert me to a new, lower resting heart rate and huge increase in daily steps has been really cool.
🏆 I’m now doing 5 pull-ups (after barely being able to do ANY a few months ago!).
🏆 My wife has started joining me on my walks which has created great opportunities for quality time and connecting.
🏆 I recently returned a pair of pants and sized down because the other ones were too loose on me.
🏆 Doing 40 pushups a day is like NOTHING to me now which is WAY different than where I was 6 months ago!
🏆 I did a workout a day early because of a scheduling conflict (instead of using the conflict as an excuse and skipping the workout).
🏆 I’ve been spending a lot less time with technology (I’ve been reading a ton instead!).
🏆 My friend recently told me that my fitness successes have been inspiring him to get in better shape as well!
🏆 My weight is below 180 for the first time in 8 years!
🏆 My college-aged son (who is big into health) was absolutely stoked to talk about fitness with me the other day (it’s been a whole new way to connect which has been really cool!). In fact, he told me, “Dad, I’ve always admired you for your career and spiritual focus, but now that you’ve taken fitness more seriously I have a whole new level of admiration for you.”
🏆 I need to buy new shorts because mine are all super loose!
🏆 I’ve been standing up for myself and really finding my voice lately.
🏆 I’ve been experiencing a big mindset change within me: How I look at dessert, exercise, rest days, etc. is completely different. Weight loss has become a secondary goal while gaining strength and endurance are my primary goals now.
🏆 I started biking to the office 1x/week.
🏆 Other people have commented on my physique (“Dang! You’re looking stronger!”).
🏆 I recently had a “hiccup week”. The old me would have turned the inch into a mile… I would have given up on all my exercise and nutrition goals. But this time I managed to avoid the “All or nothing” mindset and lived out “All or SOMETHING”. That’s a HUGE change for me.
🏆 A few weeks ago I would huff and puff after using the stairs 2-3 times. Now I can do them 8-10 times without an issue!
🏆 I’ve been choosing fruit (“God’s dessert”) after supper instead of junk food.
🏆 My bloodwork came back and the results are AWESOME! My triglycerides are the lowest they’ve been in YEARS (down 70 points!) and my cholesterol is in the normal range for the first time in five years!
🏆 I went for a really long 8 km walk on Saturday without my joints hurting at all (15 pounds ago they would have!). In fact, I felt like I could have continued walking and walking!
🏆 I’ve been sober for 67 days in a row!
🏆 I realized that I can turn exercise (which I’ve always hated) into an act of redemptive suffering for others. Exercise can be a way for me to serve others and remember that my life is not about me.
🏆 My habit of choosing better food options is getting stronger (there are some things I used to really crave and now I don’t even desire them!).
🏆 My squat form has gotten a TON better.
🏆 My clothes are fitting so much better.
🏆 Even with a pretty emotional week and poor sleep, I still managed to keep things on course: I didn’t give in to buying and eating pints of ice cream, I channeled my emotions into a vigorous walk, and at times I kindly asked myself, “What do I really want?”
🏆 I hit my scheduled morning workouts every day this past month! This has been a total change in my life – a HUGE mindset shift. I DO have time for working out in the morning – and I’m doing it!
🏆 I found out I have no hardening in my arteries and that my heart disease indicators are all GREAT!
🏆 I used to think drinking beer was a necessity for every social outing, but now I don’t have that feeling AT ALL. Now that I know how different I feel the day after drinking at a get-together, I just don’t feel like it’s really worth it.
🏆 My PRs went up again (205 lbs. bench and 265 lbs. squat!).
🏆 My step count continues to trend up (I started averaging below 5K/day. Now I’m up to averaging 8K/day!).
🏆 I actually needed to wear a belt today!
🏆 I don’t feel like I’m “on a diet” at all. Instead I feel fueled day-in and day-out while still experiencing a slow and steady rate of fat loss.
🏆 I’ve been getting up early for morning prayer every day.
🏆 I’m feeling like I’m on the right trajectory with my health (the last time I felt this was in high school!). Everything feels completely sustainable and like I’m taking all the right next steps.
🏆 I can do 2-3 full pull-ups all on my own now! (I used to only be able to do 1 jumping pull-up)
🏆 I’ve been praying with my wife before bed again.
🏆 I found something in my closet that I haven’t been able to wear in YEARS and it fit GREAT! I even got a few compliments on it!
🏆 I’m down 15 lbs. since June!
🏆 I dare to say that my walks and healthy eating are becoming a HABIT… This is just what I do now. It’s who I am.
🏆 Exodus 90 used to be the thing that would get me to do all kinds of good and healthy things for 90 days, but the other 275 days of the year I would go back to my old ways. Now I basically have all the good Exodus 90 habits (minus the cold showers!) built into my life and do them without thinking about it!
🏆 I bought a new MEDIUM (not large like I used to!) sized shirt from REI that fits great!
🏆 I feel better, fitter, and stronger. My friends have been giving me compliments ever since I got back from my deployment: “Dang, you’re bigger! You looked more stacked!”
🏆 I’ve been dedicating my workouts for others (e.g. I went on a walk the other day and offered it up for my neighbor).
🏆 I said no to dessert numerous times: At home, at stores, in the staff room at work (with the always present dessert bowl!), etc.
🏆 There have been times lately when the old me would’ve given in but now I’m not!
🏆 I hit the 1,000 push-ups mark for this month!
🏆 People have been commenting that my face is looking thinner.
🏆 I haven’t been having soda unless I’m out somewhere for quite a while now, which is WAY different from what I used to do and feels REALLY good.
🏆 While out with family at a restaurant I skipped the fried food option and chose a big salad with protein instead (and felt GREAT because of it!).
🏆 Going to bed around 9 pm is a lot easier than it used to be (compared to when I was in the habit of going to bed at 11 pm).
🏆 I’ve been able to maintain my weight even in the midst of all kinds of December celebrations: Birthday parties, Christmas, get-togethers with family, etc.
🏆 I’ve lost 1 inch from my neck!
🏆 I’ve shifted from an “All or nothing” mindset to an “All or SOMETHING” mindset, which has allowed me to stop worrying about being perfect and just focus on being as consistent as possible.
🏆 I’m down another notch on my belt AND my watch!
🏆 I’m now able to wear a sweatshirt comfortably that I couldn’t before AND some of my shorts are too loose to wear now!
🏆 I can sit down with my vest zipped again!
🏆 I’ve been really consistent with exercise, even though I’ve been traveling a lot this last month (doing daily walks, run/walks, stretching, strength workouts, etc.).
🏆 After standing in line for my second sorbet of the day I decided to walk away. Later on I realized the pride of being able to walk away definitely outweighed the sorbet!
🏆 This all feels more like a real lifestyle change… I’m not doing another temporary fad diet or fitness challenge. I’m not making lofty goals that I eventually fail at. And I’m not anxious or obsessed about losing weight anymore. Instead, I exercise and eat healthy to feel good and strong and I make realistic goals and actually accomplish them. This is what I do now. This is who I am.
🏆 I wore my absolute favorite shirt while on vacation in Nashville last week (a shirt I hadn’t worn for probably 10 years!).
🏆 I’m walking more now than I have in over 10 years. My dogs are happy, my wife is happy, and I’m happy!
🏆 I just feel so much better than I used to.
🏆 I HAVEN’T GIVEN UP!
