Verse of the Week #19

This verse is always a hard one to take in, but it’s so beautifully and paradoxically true…

It’s the struggles, the trials, and the lows in life that tend to bring us to our knees and remind us just how weak and helpless we are when facing life on our own.

But it’s precisely these moments and this realization that urges us to cry out to Heaven for the One who is not only CAPABLE of lifting us up and getting us through, but so desperately DESIRING to do so.

Today, and every day forward, Lord, please help us find our strength and hope in You. May the hardships we endure refine our hearts and be used to demonstrate your light and love to the world. Amen.

For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

2 Corinthians 12:10
